Doug has been at Calvary Chapel since January 1989. He was lead pastor from 1989 to 2021 and now serves as Pastor Emeritus and the leader of our Retiree Ministry. He and his wife Betsy have one adult daughter Anna. Together they have invested their lives into the ministry of Calvary Chapel, leading it from a small group of around 30 people when they came to the growing congregation it is today. Now Doug enjoys watching the next chapter of Calvary's story being told through Mark and Brandon's leadership.
Doug is a fan of Jesus, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Calvary Chapel. He loves to read, drink Diet Pepsi, and take hikes in the mountains.
